@ned @sbraun Better yet, people may follow the hashtag and not you. There would be no need to filter in that case, or to create several accounts. (Having more than one account is a natural thing here, BTW. Some people have alts for posting NSFW stuff, or even open accounts in different platforms, like PeerTube or Funkwhale, to take advantage of their different features, but I wouldn't recommend that for your particular use case. YMMV.)

Anyway, as a practical example, I'm not following either of you, but I'm following one of the hashtags you used. That's how you appeared in my TL.

@DarKou Mastodon is part of the Fediverse, as are Pleroma, Pixelfed and many others.

@fribbledom

@WonderingDane@fynbo.social You said they weren't part of the Fediverse. If not federating with any subset of instances left you out of it, I doubt the Fediverse would even exist.

TILVids may, or may not, federate with other PeerTube instances, but Fedi expands far beyond a particular platform.

@gamingonlinux @gregoryopera @angrytux

@WonderingDane@fynbo.social Who said that? I'm following several TILVids channels from this account.

@niconiconi From Wikipedia:

«Recently in 2020, it was demonstrated by Oruganti et al., that it was possible to excite Zenneck wave type waves on flat metal-air interfaces and transmit power across metal obstacles.»

I have no idea what that means, but it sounds cool.

I'm using netguard in white list mode and I can't find the services/softwares to allow connection sharing usb modem with a compute without blocking the connection sharing, does anyone knows how too ?

@niconiconi That does not imply, though, that suddenly everybody cares.

@kaia Aren't the Syberia games French? I wouldn't call them masterpieces, though. They're not crap either, just... French, you know?

@coolboymew To be fair, Tom is the least likeable character in _The Great Gatsby_. As much as I love the novel, I'd hate having to write about him, too.

@coolboymew Exactly. It would be a good idea if burglars entered your house, though. “But why did the elves took my PS4, mommy?” “To upgrade it to the newest and shiniest model, honey!”

You know what? I think the kids should be the ones doing this to surprise their parents.

@coolboymew Oh, I didn't know that, but I still find it a bit stupid and mostly for show.

Do the kids like that? Because all I would think if I saw it is: “I didn't ask for this. I'm not cleaning this shit.” Also, you can't even eat anything afterwards. The more I think about it, the more braindead the idea seems.

$50.00 for an outdated version's manual? For that price, I really hope rms comes to my bed to read it to me every night before I fall asleep.

@coolboymew Not familiar with that tradition, but if it's their culture, I'll have to respect it, I guess.

@mangeurdenuage Looks pretty good, but I would recommend you to buy a table without drawers and an office chair as soon as you can.

I have this one at home (sorry, I can't find it in the French website, but I assume it's there, too, somewhere):

As for the chair, I have the usual one everybody gets at Ikea.

@coolboymew That's clearly staged by whoever took the picture. It's not messy enough for real kids. It's probably an ad for the product.

Also, if she doesn't love her kids that much, either she doesn't have any, or she doesn't love them at all.
