TwitterPOL
@urusan Not much, I suppose. “I'm leaving Twitter now that Elon owns it” is the new “I'm moving out of the US if my candidate doesn't win”.
If anything, people will open an account on mastsoc that they will never use and then stay on Twitter to be “part of the resistance” or something.
Moving to Fedi is a matter of principle, not a whim. And these people are nothing if not whimsical.

No. You are on the Fediverse. Mastodon is just a part of it (and not even the best one). Let's not confuse the two.

@veer66 Well, let me tell you a story...
Back in the day, I had to work on a platform that was an unholy mix of Symfony and a hopelessly outdated version of Joomla with some WordPress blogs thrown in. That platform didn't have any documentation (I even had to decompile some Python bytecode to get some passwords we needed), version control system or a dedicated machine for testing/development. Everything was done live, in production.
So, yeah. You can do it, but it's miserable and, at least at first, nerve-racking. (At some point, you stop caring whether the platform lives or dies for a few minutes.) Glad I left. At least I learned about systems administration.
@vaartis That's a pretty bold statement from someone who discovered Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush sometime last year.
@vaartis Do you have anything by Those Dancing Days? Not even their (old) label sells their stuff anymore.
@smaurizi Grazie a te! Il piacere è nostro.
Please welcome Stefania. She's a great journalist.
@smaurizi Benvenuta.
@claudiosegovia La recomiendo encarecidamente.

@orbifx Like GitHub, but EU-based, community-supported and focused on free software.
@ElMichel ¿Lo has visto en _Noche en la Tierra_?
Using Slackware. Debian is trash.
Stupid typos. At least I noticed it when I wrote: “Those who don't lack at my jobs”. I'm not on autocorrect. I really typed that. If anyone wonders why I take so long to reply, there you have it. It and the fact that whenever I post something, I immediately forget about it and go do something else.
The #EU loves to talk about Press Freedom + Human Rights but they don't like to talk about Julian #Assange who is in prison for exposing the truth about #US #NATO War Crimes. What credibility can EU have when it stays silent about Assange..? Why don't they call for his release..?

I am, without a doubt, the most interesting person I know.
