@urusan Making websites interactive. Also, using HTTP for everything while ignoring other perfectly valid communication protocols. Forgetting that other hardware architectures are possible besides x86. Most modern high level languages. Tech illiteracy.

I guess I would be a terrible father/mentor, given that I don't know how to tie a necktie. Whenever I need it (maybe once per decade, if not less than that), I just grab a copy of _His Girl Friday_ and watch Cary Grant do it.

@thor My idea was to create a zine that worked as a sort of hub for other Fedi-related projects where every issue would include a sample of the featured one, be it a podcast, a song or some artwork. Also, it would be cool if each issue could be hosted on a different machine.

I was in the loo reading this month's issue of _Record Collector_ magazine, and I saw that it featured a piece on music fanzines that got me thinking about creating an ezine about the Fediverse with interviews with Fedi people, commentary on the latest Fedi drama, op-eds on the stupidity of #fediblock, and stuff like that.

It would be cool if it could only be distributed via RSS feed, and, given that we live in current year, it could also contain audio or video downloads (i.e. music created by Fedi people or even popular memes).

I don't know if I'm the right person for the job, as I'm pretty much an isolated incident here, but it seems like a fun project to undertake.

@bonifartius True, but, if I'm not mistaken, it still needs PA to be installed, sadly.

BTW, I didn't know that script existed. I use one that does the same at login time, but this is great. Thanks!

@mangeurdenuage Slackware doesn't install systemd and PipeWire will replace pulseaudio soon. Even today you can still have an ALSA-only system. It is perfectly feasible.
