Browsing patents today and found the iconic #Commodore 1520 plotter from 1983 has a design patent, awarded to Ira Velinksy (who also did the Plus/4). I arranged the illustrations into a page and of course I plotted it ☺️ 11”x17” with 0.25mm pen on vintage HP 7550+.

Following @mos_8502's suggestion, I got a tiny MAX3232 breakout board with capacitors already built in and I made my tiny adapter to bring RS232 levels between the Orao and the ImageWriter II printer close enough that they can speak to each other. Power is delivered via USB.

Now I just need to make a nice case for it.

It's the ARMSID replacement for the MOS6581 and MOS8580 SID chip.

Just repaired this #Plus4 keyboard, and wow was that a pain! The ribbon needed repairs which took a hour or two, and it was a challenge to keep all the springs and contacts in to reassemble... But they all pass!🥳
