Well that was quite easy, plumbed mastodon into my website and put a link to it in my bio (and got a green tick).
I am new to all this tooting. I was never on the bird but was drawn to this by the open source nature of it all and the lack of a billionaire owner. Now I guess, just need to think of something to say :)

@kennyams you know I came here for a similar reason, but now that you mention it. The owners before were also billionaires. They were just not famous. Also the main focus of the board that ran the company was make money. Sure it's controlled by less people. But in the grand scheme of things is anything really different for anybody personally? I doubt it.

@skanman But then I didn't have a twitter account, or facebook account either. This is my first foray into social media, so things are different for me personally.
I have no problem with company boards running companies to make money. That is what they are for, making money for shareholders. However some directors seem to treat companies as there personal piggy banks and fiefdoms. The last board actually did a fantastic job of making money for shareholders :)
