Dave Naylor of TSN on the #CFL schedule: "look at all the night games on Sat & Sun. Look at the consistency of Sunday 7 pm ET starts. Look at the games being played on separate days until Labour Day. This is to accommodate US TV. The league has been targeting this area for revenue growth."

well this is frustrating. I love the #CFL because it's OUR league, and now the whole schedule is rejiggered to suit US TV? How about to suit Canadian fans? Where does that fit?

and I *really* want to chime in on Twitter about this but I'm trying to see if I can manage a week without posting anything there.

@Shayman I did a single reply on this issue to a new Calgarian who didn’t understand why a 5 pm start on Labour Day was a problem, since it will limit the number of people who can come from Edmonton.

@AnthonyReimer "I watch all the games on TV, I don't see what the problem is" is the problem

@Shayman This particular person was actively speaking about in-stadium attendance, but I get your point

@Shayman

I thought it was gonna be in Edmonton this year actually:

"Holiday Monday features some of the league’s fiercest rivals: the Tiger-Cats welcome the Argos to Hamilton and the Elks host the Stampeders." So it's Stamps fans that'll have to drive.

"In Labour Day action, the Ticats host the Argos and the Elks welcome the Stampeders to their stomping grounds at Commonwealth Stadium."
