Russia's claim on Crimea, Donbas or any other Ukraine territory is not recognized by NATO.

It's not in NATO's interest to use it's military equipment and personnel to defend Ukraine, everything else is on the table including Nord Stream 2

Ukraine is currently not a NATO member so NATO being _defensive_ alliance of it's members won't do anything to defend it militarely.
