Jeg har ledt efter EU-alternativer til alle mulige online services for nylig, både privat og professionelt. Er ret glad for denne side:
My spicy opinion on agile—pretty much any software development methodology—is that the method is never and has never been the problem. Agile can work. Scrum can work. Waterfall can work.
The problem has always been management and executives and their obsession with command and control tactics. If you don’t fix management, shuffling things around on the dev side won’t matter one jot.
"Thousands of scientists are cutting back on Twitter, seeding angst and uncertainty."
The #1 choice is Mastodon!
Let's reach out to all our scientist (and non-scientist) friends and acquaintances and encourage them to join the Fediverse. If you still have an account on twitter, post some messages there with links to the Mastodon signup site. Let's welcome them here and provide some gentle hints on how to be productive here.

Remember the fuzz about Zoom? It worked.
Meanwhile they backpaddled. The ToS from August 11th exclude any use for #AI #ML training.
For now.

@Ruth_Mottram @rainforest_horizon This looks excellent! And glad to see Horizon projects showing up here :)

Write the method and the conclusion of the article in the abstract.
Why this is important?
1- inclusivity: abstract are open and everyone can get an idea of whether they should buy your article if they know what's in it
2- outreach: people outside your field read your articles. People will ask AI to summarise your paper, so you may want to control the summary

It’s worth noting that by Fall of 2012, the majority of both Republican & Democrat voters acknowledged #ClimateChange is occurring. But not the majority of all politicians.
Back then, I ran large public opinion surveys out of UT Austin & it was the first time citizens from both parties agreed. (Here’s a 2015 SciAm piece w totals https://blogs.scientificamerican.com/plugged-in/over-3-out-of-4-americans-now-acknowledge-climate-change-is-occurring-including-the-majority-of-republicans/)
We can’t said what changed attitudes, but a drought had impacted U.S. crops that summer & the pope was also discussing #climate. /2

We are heartbroken by the loss of the Vim boss.
Rest in peace, Bram
I know I’m always on about this when cops or other folks kill some agitated person, but for real y’all — we in the ER see people who are angry, threatening, violent, and scary EVERY shift, and we kill zero of them. We don’t shoot them. We don’t choke them to death. Most of the time we talk them down and that’s it. Sometimes we restrain them, but we do it safely.
I have very scary people blow up at me. Often I literally pull up a chair and we talk it out. Please, we can be better.
Anyone with a #Bayes background interested in reviewing a new package for the Journal Of Open Source Software? 😊
Ping me with your Github handle if so.
Effective 27 July #Zoom changed their terms of service (T&C) whereby **without opt-out** YOU give them consent to perpetually use your content (video, audio,…) also for #AI #ML “training and tuning of algorithms and models”.

@freemo yep, that's the issue. Should it be solved by the industry sector or by society. At the end it does not matter who determines the minimum wage, it might just be more specific to do it at the industry level
