Lake sunrise - shades of pink on a cold snowy lake. Only partially frozen, the open water reflects the skies.

This sweet gazebo is community property in my neighborhood, yet one of our neighbors took the time to make sure it looks festive for the holidays. I love that.

Not looking forward to winter! But always love the scenery. Today, the mallards love hovering in between thin ice, while the setting sun casts a glow in the cove.

All kinds of animated Christmas decorations in my house - lights on timers, battery-operated candles, remotes turning the tree and other items on and off.

You know which one works best? The cheap little "buck store" Santa, solar-powered and sitting on a window sill. Had him for years. He is worthless and cheesy, but when the other devices are failing, he soldiers on.

Lakes provide ever-changing scenes of beauty. It's cold tonight, but the three Bufflehead ducks don't care. The setting sun casts varied color to the sky.

I'm grateful for digital that allows one to chronicle key moments. The aggregation of those moments become the story of a good life.

On a daily basis, digital frames randomly playback these moments for me, bringing smiles and appreciation.
