I feel like the impressive-ness of computational photography is lost on those who didn't experience how hard taking a picture that has lighting that looks like how humans see the scene actually can be

@levisan I'm glad I was able to take photography classes for a few years in high school. all black and white, we developed our own film, and printed our own photos in the darkroom.

it was a great experience. I still use a lot of that in my photography today.

I guess it gives me a certain perspective on what you're talking about too, now that I think about it.
