I guess what I'm trying to say is… is it really bad that it can't actually create something new, assuming the users know what's going on? Ignoring the mediocre-or-worse media being produced, but for other uses.

If only "we" can pivot "AI" away from being a thing being used for slop and focus on better uses…

"AI" doesn't create, it just regurgitates and meshes. Everyone's saying it like it's a bad thing but I don't think so?

A feature request: when placing a video call and waiting for the recipient to answer, your video should already be being sent, so that the recipient can see you before answering.

@mike While I agree, I think that's missing the point of my question. Partially because I used the word "allowed" and in retrospect, that was the wrong word to use.

I didn't mean for it to be about permission, but about whether or not someone using language around people who'd be offended by it should get a free pass, specifically because they learned it in a time+place where it wasn't offensive
