I gave GNOME's way of window management with the three finger scroll to show all windows and swiping between workspaces a try for a few months. I'm now back on KDE and it's a relief to have a good old fashion task bar showing all the open applications. I appreciate that GNOME tries to come up with novel, innovative designs, but I think the basic idea of a window task bar works well. Of course there is always room for improvement, but I don't think throwing out the whole idea works great.

I realized that even though I was using GNOME Shell, I was barely using any GNOME applications. I was mostly using Mozilla and KDE applications on GNOME Shell.
