**Apple Delaying Solid-State Buttons Until iPhone 16 Pro Due to 'Design Issues'**
A single solid slab phone is the 'holy grail' of hardware design: no jacks, no buttons. Removing jacks was done years ago. This no button iPhone rumor has been around for awhile. While technically possible (with the assistance of clever haptics) it's also very tricky to pull off well. I'm not surprised this was postponed.
Not saying it's doomed or bad, just hard.

@scottjenson Too bad we didn't see them pioneer the eink display space -- the battery life would dramatically increase days or weeks.
@lorendias Sure, but e-ink is just so slow. I can see it for something like the rumored AirPod case though.
