Moving the Mastodon app to the spot previously occupied by the Twitter app on my phone's Home screen was a good idea.
@lorihc this is what I did and it’s -dramatically- decreased my Twitter usage. I have 10+ years of muscle memory clicking this exact spot on my home screen - using that to my advantage to help switch to Mastodon has worked wonders.

@lorihc I didn't have the bird app on my home screen anymore, but it frequently appeared as a "suggested app". I was able to be turn that off through "Siri & Search" settings.
