What would be the best practices to optimize images for webpages? I have seen some articles, but they are kinda old, or I just feel like there is a better way.
Maybe something using terminal and imagemagick? I havent played too much with that...

@joeligj12 use webp format, it's optimized for that, and now it works on webkit browsers too. If you use wordpress or joomla you can find extension which will squeeze your images, if not you may do it by manually insert them in an image converter. Lighthouse dev tools for chrome can help too.
