Should transgender people disclose being trans when dating? (Why?)

@critical very few trans people don’t, for our own safety. but even if we didn’t, it shouldn’t matter. if things haven’t progressed to a sexual relationship, it’s not the partner’s buisness (and even then, only insofar as what their genitals are like)

What if the other person wants to reproduce?
@critical @PluralKvetching sounds like a very egoistic reason
Just get some sperm from a donation centre thing or instead adopt if you don't have an uterus

I personally find this really terrifying because it suggests that you'd be allowed to determine about the other person's body.

What if I maybe also don't want to reproduce even though I am in a cis body and in a cis hetero relationship?

I bet people that would use the excuse of "wanting to reproduce" wouldn't necessarily say the same thing about a cis gender partner even if that partner explicitly says they don't want children for example

which implies to me that it's either them making excuses or them actually thinking they might can reproduce with that person after all even though they said no which is in my opinion just disgusting, like, feeling this level of entitlement towards ANOTHER person's life and body like this.......
I mean, sure, opinions can change after all, but, like, EXPECTING them to change their opinion is just gross and disgusting and toxic
@fluff @critical @PluralKvetching there are people who are surrogate mothers, it's a legit thing, no sex required, just bring an egg and some sperm together and put it in the surrogate mother. Even if you're infertile as a mother, a surrogate mother could take that role.

Don't know the specifics besides this.
