Anecdotally I've noticed a drop off in traffic for the two academic related #twitter accounts I run. Possibly nothing but I'll enjoy watching the situation. #twittermigration

Maybe #Twitter will turn it around but its looking an awful lot like it's in a death spiral
I'm really liking #mastodon but #Substack seems primed to be able to scoop up a bunch of #Twitter users if they can build out some new functionality quickly.
Also seems possible there won't be one Twitter replacement but multiple with different communities ending up in different platforms. At least temporarily maybe we'll have a more diverse social media landscape. 👀
