Unless you're talking about pivot-capable jet thingmabobs- then I guess that's moot point.
@lucifargundam for spin stabilisation I was planning to counter-rotate the habitat ring in the ship itself, which should mass less than the sails
not sure how much putting thrusters on the masts would hurt the mass budget though, could probably do the maths but >.>

Makes sense. I'm no astro-engineer but that sounds solid(no pun intended).
was thinking they'd be a good place to mount orientation thrusters if that's what you mean
