omfg….. my mom has been scammed ‘out of her bankaccount’ :sad_cat: Ofc she bought something too good to be true on Facebook and clicked on a nice link that redirects to an OAUTH screen to connect her bank and give permissions and guess what she did :blobcatscared:

I can cry about this omg.. I’ve spend soo many hours trying to teach her digital security but she simple doesn’t understand it.. It always has to go wrong badly before steps are taken😿

At least the account is blocked now but I’m afraid it’s already too late 💸

I can’t fcking believe this shit :sad_cat: The link even had the ‘.info’ extension, I mean how much more clear does it needs to be 😞

I'm sorry for your troubles! This is a real issue that many of us face when we try to advise and guide those we care about when it comes to internet safety. Unfortunately, it doesn't even appear to be a generational stigma, but rather a matter of people's complacency towards things they don't have a full understanding of.

The only thing left to do is just to be sympathetic and supportive, as most likely such things are likely to continue.

@lucifargundam Indeed..! ♥️ Ive explained already to her what happened and how to prevent this in the future :ablobwink: We also made a list she can tell to the bank tomorrow from what happened, hopefully that helps a bit
