If it isn't overhyped- it ain't worth considering.
Most successful games have sufficient marketing teams backing them up- spreading the word however possible.
That is to say- not all overhyped games are successful. Meaning th inverse is not always true.

You said it yourself- they have been cranking remasters out like it's a trend, and with the same quality product each time.
If they know gamers know what to expect, it's possible they feel it not necessary to reiterate what might already seem obvious.
If it was really a bit deal, I'd have many of my fellow gamer friends ranting or cheering about it. Yet people's attention is very much elsewhere.
