Dear Proton community member,

Starting today, we are bringing all Proton services together into a unified, privacy-by-default ecosystem that allows us to deliver even more benefits to the Proton community and make privacy accessible to everyone.

The unified ecosystem has a new and modernized visual design, improved functionality, and better product integrations to provide a unified experience across all our services (Proton Mail, Proton VPN, Proton Calendar, and Proton Drive). These changes will be rolled out progressively over the coming days and weeks.
What we’ve improved

A new, unified Proton website at proton.me – The URL protonmail.com now redirects to proton.me, and new Proton Mail web sessions will start at mail.proton.me. Note, your email addresses are not changing. For example, if you have an @protonmail.com email address, it will remain the same.
More email address options – You can add an @proton.me address to your account for free (this is an extra address, it does not replace your existing addresses).
Improved Proton plans – If you’re already a paying subscriber, you’ll enjoy a storage boost. Depending on your plan, you may also receive new features at no extra cost, including additional email addresses, upgraded access to Proton VPN, and more.
New logos and colors – We’ve updated our website and all of our mobile and web apps with new logos and colors to provide a unified visual experience. Discover the story behind Proton’s new logos.

What isn’t changing

Your existing Proton Mail email addresses are not changing. For example, if you have an @protonmail.com email address, it does not change.

Proton’s philosophy is also not changing. We will always be open source, independent, neutral, and community-first. The new version of Proton is only the beginning, and we look forward to bringing you many more services and features in the near future.

Thank you for supporting us as we build a better internet where privacy is the default.

Stay secure,
The Proton Team
