> Marcus Aurelius (paraphrased) – "If you find in human life anything better than justice, truth, temperance, fortitude; anything better than your own mind's self-satisfaction in the things your mind enables you to do according to logic and reason … if you see anything better than this, turn to it with all your soul, and enjoy what you have found as the best of all."

FYI: Yeah, I've been re-reading Aurelius' 'Meditations'. A friend is going through a rough patch and I sent him some quotes by Stoic philosophers; so now I'm dipping my toes back in.

I find such writings to be helpful to go over occasionally. Better to buy a $1 composition journal and write them out. Writing things out gives it more power- and helps keep it place mentally.

You can also go the extra mile and reflect on how your currently practice the meditations and how you could do better.
