Places like LA yeah, less so up in northern California. Have to have low living standards and high technology to have cyberpunk.

Silicon Valley is 4-6 hours north of LA. 12-14 hours in the worst of traffic.

Up north with redwoods. But I guess I mean the kind of cyberpunk dystopia is specific to city life.

Ah so you mean in urban regions. Yeah that kinda goes without saying though. Other potential cyberpunk metros would be like Austin, Boston (?) and NYC... pretty defacto though.
