I mean, most people hate HOA and only fools buy homes that masochistically subscribe to that cultish stuff. True, there are people who avoid them- but that's requiring effort. I'd rather live in the boonies with an outhouse than live in an HOA. There is no benefit to a HOA other than ego and living a cookie-cutter life.
