im slowly really tempted to install kde.
not only does steam deck come with kde, there is a kwin tiling extension [1]

Kde has a lot of meat features- but it also takes up resources/performance.

Determining your DE should be based on your type of usage.

As someone who lacks a 4090 GPU and a 16-core unlocked, overclocked CPU- I run a minimal DE with a little aesthetic. If I had newer hardware, I would definitely consider a customized KDE.

my hardware is strong enough from that viewpoint

but generally i start to prefer qt (and thus kde) over gtk

right now i use i3 (i used sway before, but sway sadly doesnt support (semi)transparent click through windows. and i need those)
