@lucifargundam i wonder if we have legislation that forces banks to perform bank to bank transfers like we do where ISPs are basically required to peer with one another.

We do. It takes a long time to implement though. The only thing people would see would be banks with either stricter hours or closed altogether.

@icedquinn@blob.cat @lucifargundam@qoto.org There has been some recent movement on bank to bank becoming more of thing to sidestep eg credit card fees. But I don't think it'll help any with the recent de-banking.

@miscbrains @lucifargundam was thinking about that some earlier today.

a bank isn't allowed to say we won't hire you because you are black, but they are allowed to de-bank you without cause. that seems a little weird.
