As much as I love studying history, despite my brain being like a sieve in retaining a lot of the name/date details, I really wish we learned more about the every day people and their lives. It wasn't a romantic existence to say the least. What were the worst jobs that people had in Colonial America which were still better than the last stop of the poor house/work house? @lucifargundam Oh yes those can be gems as well although to be literate and having time to write put you up a bit in status back then anyway. Still it isn't about all the Lords, Ladys, etc. It was interesting that their journals are mostly about mundane boring shit that even they will never care to read again just as much as mine. Some things don't change I guess :).
