SUMMARY:
1) If tempted to clean the lens cell on a Stellarvue, don't do it.
2) If you must do it, send it to Stellarvue (they do it cheap)

I don't suppose you could use this opportunity to engineer a specialty tool for the job? Like how there's suction cups for small circuit components?

I don't own a telescope myself, but would like to be able to record or stream what it was I pointed mine to... _shrug_ just ideas...
@lucifargundam I absolutely agree. I was pretty upset with myself when it happened, but I did learn that just because I've fixed a gazillion reflectors, refractors are a whole different meatball - I should've done more research. Still irritating, but definitely a learning lesson.
