i remember in choice of robots you could choose the storage drives for your robits and i like to pick the self encrypting hard drives because 
this actually comes up in the plot later because the gubbmints try to steal your tech and if you picked the self encrypting drives they just fail and if you also befriend the weird guy he talks to you like

tl;dr if you have just the right circumstances the glowies can't steal your shit and you get an option to give them a poison pill and they get huge mad about it
