When ordering chips or other electronics components, always buy at least 3 of them. One to learn your lesson, another to learn your lesson again, and the last one for actual use... Unless it's really expensive (even then, still consider whether an extra 1-week shipping delay is worth the cost-saving here...)

Yeah, but having to repurchase and wait each additional time will cost extra time/money.
Better to resell backup supply than to spend more to wait longer to get the job done.
