Public opinion has moved, partly because more people now have first hand experience with the effects of climate change. A poll sponsored by Yale and George Mason universities reported this month that a record 76% of Americans think global warming is real, only 12% think it isn’t.

The climate is still warming, but world leaders have a chance to fix that.
the world leaders won't solve anything. Simply because fixing the weather doesn't generate votes. Votes are won by heating up the economy. even if economy is through the destruction of nature. Also, politicians don't care about the future that goes beyond their own political mandate. Why will they bother to build something today only to receive the results 20 years after the end of own political mandate, and within someone other political mandate of other politician?
