@lupyuen Only if there is documentation of the radio, or a freely usable implementation. Unless the vendor takes a less #FLOSS-hostile stance there, I don't see it happen.

For comparison, nRF5x has become very popular around @RIOT_OS, while EFR32 which we had high hopes for 5 years ago is still niche and unusable.

@lupyuen @RIOT_OS Rumor has it they're preparing to upload something to GitHub. Doesn't mean it'll be more than a blob, but there is hope.

As feared it is just a header file and compiled blob. On the upside, the Apache license applies, so decompilation may be fair game for reverse engineering.

That should make a nutcracker challenge v2 doable -- but frankly, I rather stick with vendors that publish documentation or at least commented source.
