@newt @lupyuen I did not even know that Futurama closed 10 years ago (if it were not for this article), and given today's trends, you're right, let Futurama die in peace
@Gamercat @lupyuen @newt no, we're bringing back it's corpse like some demented necromancer
@neo @lupyuen @newt You know, I mostly understand that people after the 2010's, ran out of ideas, and the 2020's at all is nonsense, to revive the good old franchises, and add a holy "fashionable" crap, and add a crooked
@newt @lupyuen @neo well, what are the great sci-fi new modern series?I start out based on what I want to watch, although I may be right, but I don't know what I want to watch and I don't trust modern shows much
@Gamercat @neo @lupyuen The Expanse is one of the best scifi series ever. I just can't recommend it enough.

The Boys isn't so much scifi as it is a take on the superhero genre, but it's also very good.

Invincible is pretty dope, although it's also about superheroes.

Off the top of my head, that's about it.
@newt @lupyuen @neo The only thing left is to find interesting series about cars and racing, and maybe about AI and stuff like that :ablobcatbongo:
@Gamercat @neo @lupyuen Fast & Furious is about cars. And man, I love those movies :comfyaww:

Cars jumping from planes. Cars racing against nuclear submarines. Cars being launched into space. Cars trashing other cars while tugging a giant vault. Fast&Furious movies are the epitome of PURE AWESOME!!!
@newt @lupyuen @neo I watched but after 4 or 5 movies I stopped being interested, and anime on this subject are very interesting :ablobcatbongo:
@Gamercat @neo @lupyuen nah.. Fast Five is where the fun starts. It only gets more insane from there.

Consider this. F&F movies started with a story about a cop trying to catch dudes who steal DVD players from trucks. The last movies are about rogue AI building cyborgs and trying to take over the world, while threatening humanity with a deadly nanovirus. Can you name anything that progressed in a more awesome way? Because I can not! :awesome:
@Gamercat @neo @lupyuen seriously, dude. Take a week and just watch them all. You may skip that Hobbs&Shaw spin-off about the cyborgs, but the rest are just an absolute delight to watch!
@Gamercat @lupyuen I think, the last season or two were already pretty awful. They tried to copy South Park and comment on the current events at the time of airing, instead of trying to develop their own inner story, unrelated to the real world.
@newt @lupyuen South Park makes fun of these things (I like it for that), and you know I think you can learn modern history from South Park, but Futurama, I agree because when you can travel very quickly between planets and already have a relationship between aliens, it seems at least strange to comment on real events
@Gamercat @lupyuen nah, in South Park, this social and political commentary pretty much sucked and it ruined the show for me. I find the absurd fart humour of the earlier seasons much more enjoyable.
@newt @lupyuen Although I found it funny when the Americans tried to declare war on the Canadians, :ablobcatbongo:
@newt I enjoyed the South Park political commentary last time I was watching it regularly (a few years ago) but I'm in the US. Seems like if you're in Europe it might be a bit removed from things? @Gamercat @lupyuen
