@lupyuen not being ActivityPub-compatible scares me a bit on further fragmentation in the decentralized space. The fact that the project is on Microsoft-owned GitHub servers shows me freedom isn't a priortity.

@toastal @lupyuen hmm, I was recently thinking that Twitter getting into ActivityPub would be bad....but what if Twitter *not* getting into ActivityPub is even worse? 😬

I guess the bright side is this will keep commercial decentralisation away from the fedi? 🤞

Seems to me it might be the other way around, where existing social networks including the Fediverse can use bluesky protocol to post "speech" coming from a bluesky user
