Step 3 is a social credit system.
Step 4 is a surveillance panopticon.

@lupyuen This would be a lot more trustworthy if politicians pushing for this kind of digitization were not the same pushing for state-operated spyware to be installed on devices. (That's what killed Austria's CoVID proximity app: Sobotka endorsed making it mandatory to use).

@chrysn @lupyuen I don't believe the intention of collecting this much data should ever be regarded with any trust. At a certain point, legislation will need to be drafted regarding future considerations wrt tech and transhumanism. They want to go below the skin, and analyze your waking/subconcious thoughts at any given time.

This is the most direct threat to free-thinking individuals I can point to at the present.

Yes change is scary.
Especially scary when there is no framework to protect liberties.
