@lupyuen I remember me and my friend hosting a group event game server using GCP through it's 100$ free trial thing.
Their server was actually very fast, was able to handle 32/32 players and it goes on just fine. The game itself is only single-threaded!
Unfortunately the next day they nuked the server because of "unusual traffic" and requested for ID. My friend then moved on, but it was fun while it lasted.
@lupyuen As for the friend, they're still doing fine but we rarely talk, I still hopped into their chat once every year though. They're actually quite busy with life.
