You don't have to do that. If you follow the CI builds link, you will (after one more hop) land on ci.ubports.com/job/focal-hybri.

Hmmm, that doesn't sound right. I've installed UBports to my Pinephone, and I did _not_ have to build it for myself. Let me look around...

So yes, they have images for you, but it a little more manual than their most well-supported devices. I think support moved backwards during the whole Halium/Focal migration.
