@loke I have outgrown 80 columns for a while... Because my articles would become so long with my source code comments wrapped to 80 columns! 😀
@lupyuen and I thought I was the traditionalist. I've been using 140 characters for a long time (10 to 15 years?), with some lines extending even further if it's appropriate.
I did stick to 80 column windows before that though.
I have noticed one thing though, these days using an 80-column terminal is hard. Modern programs tend to severely truncate output if the terminal is not wide enough. I think that's an indication that people are using much wider terminals today.
