@lupyuen @feynman Several 64 bits SoCs are already at least basically (boot, console, network, disk, usb, power management (not JH7110 for now), etc) supported by Linux. Display are generally not mainlined (maybe on some boards ?), but this already allow to develop on headless Linux.

@lupyuen you can expect this an a lot more OS development from China. Given that they are under threat of sanctions from the west, they are going to make sure they own their own Operating systems. I expect the Russians are probably doing the same. Will you see Chinese OS a lot in the west? Probably not, but maybe in their routers and switches at some point.
