This is exciting! I can see myself buying something like this when it's ready for early adopters who can't write our own software for it. The proliferation of projects to develop OS and apps for novel devices like this, could contribute to the problem of keeping open source development sustainable, especially when it comes to maintenance. But it also offers a potential solution, if hardware vendors can use some of their revenue to fund dev jobs. As #Purism have done to some extent.
