Here's how we soldered the UART Port on IKEA Air Quality Sensor
IKEA Air Quality Sensor exposes a UART Port ... Let's sniff it with Bus Pirate
https://github.com/lupyuen/ikea-air-quality-sensor#test-with-bus-pirate
Let's connect IKEA Air Quality Sensor to #LoRaWAN and #TheThingsNetwork ... With Apache #NuttX OS and PineDio Stack #BL604!

@lupyuen Also:
In case you're interested, some of my friends from back in Hong Kong and Shenzhen kind of ended up here in Europe as well (most are in Londong, I'm in Portugal), and we're starting now a new startup here (with me as diversity-鬼佬😂 )
Meetings are in Cantonese or 普通话 when I'm around😌 (我的广东话不好😅 )
Maybe you wanna join?😉
@lupyuen That's ok!
We were going to do the same, but maybe you wanna try figure out how to adapt it to measuring 500nm particles and less?
It's an open source project!
@lupyuen Friend! You might be our rescue!
We need a particle sensor for our LibreSilicon clean room project, as explained here in my video about LibreSilicon, from that timestamp forward:

Maybe you can help us with that?
Wished IKEA didn't put the pads so close to the surface mounted components ... But we're all done soldering the UART Port! 🎉
@lupyuen In my city there are sensors to measure the quality of the air, and they publish the data online daily.
You could go nearby the area of one of such sensors, write down the reading of yours and wait for them to publish the data.
Do this a few times and you should see if it works decently.
@lupyuen Does this make any sense?
I looked at similar sensors, and just the sensor is way more expensive than the full ikea thing.
Since it's so cheap I guess reliability is extremely low and probably useless.
Ok, Static Light Scattering is cheap, but you still need a laser and some computing power.
Moreover I guess it should be calibrated, as I doubt the instrument can retain calibration after manufacturing and shipping.
