Part of the reason I talk about moving from the USA some day is that while a lot of things get better over time, some things get worse. Like how children of today don't have the freedom I had to explore. It's a thing that will never reverse, things just get more strict. If you want to change that you just have to leave for somewhere else.

It's sad, for sure. I lived in a pretty rural area, and got to do some exploring as a kid but not more than a mile or so from home. (That radius grew once I could drive, and while I had a snowmobile for a few years)

I worry about my own kids being tethered to the house though. I plan to live in a more urban area. I guess only time will tell
