When I'm going through all theses companies' shitty websites and filling out their identical job application forms I am actually applying to anything? Are these all just a front to pretend like there is an open hiring process?
@ramob @mandlebro I have gotten some callbacks from applications on websites. It really is a numbers game. If you're in an industry where you can get some recuiters on your side, that's the best way. Well, that or knowing someone already in the company.
@ramob @mandlebro If you don't already have one, I recommend making lists of your work history and contacts, so you can just paste it in.
@ramob Or maybe you could use something like GreaseMonkey to automate filling in the apps?
@Lwasserman I'm off the market for quite a bit but I'll keep the tips in mind thanks! I was mainly referring to some past experience seeing jobs opened for internal promotion that were required to be marketed.
@ramob Fair enough.
@Lwasserman @ramob It's good to know at least some of these are real.
@mandlebro Depending on the company sometimes they're legally required to list the job but already have their canidate hand picked.
