I read the transcript. It is hard to conceive that Zelensky has won this debate despite being surrounded by two opponents. Supposedly well-rehearsed opponents, but it became apparent that they're not experienced. They're just spoiled by obtaining everything too easily.
Yes, he lost US government support, but this is regardless of what he did. He was losing it anyway. But Trump and Vance failed to justify why they ambushed him like this.

@crabmusket @ajsadauskas @raaahbin an admirable aspiration, but also a lot of work. Because clients want all those non disclosed things proprietary software does.
But in some contexts FOSS works really well for small businesses. Typically when they have a service provider that is passionate about that choice. :)
How about a solar-powered reactor that could enable cars and planes to run on CO2 drawn from the air (and converted into fuel)?
Erwin Reisner's research group @Cambridge_Uni develops devices that convert waste, water and air into fuels and chemicals.

Can anyone explain to me how is this different from Trump?
“In the event that he [Netanyahu] plans to visit Germany, I have promised myself that we will find a way to ensure that he can visit Germany and leave again without being arrested”
The only legal way to achieve this is to withdraw Germany from the ICC.

@verge would be a disaster if it's stupider than the last one, right?
"#Australian greenhouse gas #emissions would surge by more than 2 billion tonnes under the Coalition’s plan for #nuclear energy.
The results showed there would be a “nuclear carbon emission bomb” from extending the use of fossil fuels while waiting for nuclear power."

@swoonie @markmccaughrean 75% turnout is very low, when the return of nazism is at stake.
Postwar Germany is shaped by nazi guilt and all living generations have been educated that this should never repeat. I'm sorry I am unable to explain this any better.

@markmccaughrean as much as it is a difference in preferences, it is also a difference in turnout:

@rainynight65 @dominykas @ajsadauskas @jeffjarvis.bsky.social potash industry? Oh, yeah, that's definitely an exciting source of national pride... One might've thought that by now there would be broad agreement that mining natural resources cannot be the motor of a healthy economy.
"Excessive respiratory disease due to environmental hazards, such as radon and asbestos, has been a concern for potash miners throughout history. Potash miners are liable to develop silicosis. Based on a study conducted between 1977 and 1987 of cardiovascular disease among potash workers, the overall mortality rates were low, but a noticeable difference in above-ground workers was documented."
