Some interesting data on Starlink searches on the Starlink system from #Ukraine.

@marathon0 I call bullshit. Every request to search engines is encrypted, in most cases using TLSv1.3. There's no fucking way Elon knows anything about what #Starlink users are searching for.
@eliasp How does Google know then, they issue comprehensive reports on popular searches too? My understanding of https is that encrypted only in transit, once on the receiving server, then the data can be read by the entity providing the service.
@marathon0 but Starlink is the ISP and does not terminate the users' TLS connections. If they were trying to, clients would "know" and warn the users.
Only the actual receiving side (Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, ...) can really analyze those search queries.
I don't think we have a clue what his infrastructure is and if it is an endpoint or not. Sure he does do bluster often, but this totally beleivable since the secret services of NATO are involved in this Ukraine business that there is snooping.
Anyway it'll be interesting what other technofiles say about this. I'm no expert in networking.
@eliasp Actually don't let the bluster fool you, it's his armour. He works closely with the Pentagon and DARPA. So he's clued in and somebody obviously wants this information disseminated. Personally I beleive this is the US starting the process of disengagement from Ukraine. We'll have to see. (Putting my popcorn in the microwave now) lol
