I downloaded a Tor version several years back from Flathub which some individual had uploaded. Damn thing had a trojan in it! Only found it by accident.

Well I'm sorry I didn't save it for you. :-/ It was a trojan and I didn't really find it unusual because some serious actors want to surveil people on TOR. If you think it's unlikely, then you're naive. I'm only surprised it hasn't happened more often!
@marathon0 @gnome Sorry, but it screams [citation needed] to me. You probably used some overeager antivirus or fell a victim of something unrelated to Flathub in the first place.
