But it did result in a spike in Mastodon posts.
This implies many people are using Mastodon as a "back-up" Twitter.
@atomicpoet A lot of people are for now to be honest.
I've seen a similar effect with alternative platforms for YouTube.
@mathlover I suspected as much.

@atomicpoet Granted, I still think Twitter is going to die very soon, so unlike with YouTube alternatives, I don't see this being the status quo for very long.
