I am once again asking you to stop using LastPass. The company has a history of security issues dating back years, and has yet to make holistic security improvements — or heck even investigate incidents properly.

Good alternatives:

- 1Password is my #1 rec, best for most use cases
- Bitwarden if you want open source
- KeePassXC if you want local vaults and open source
- I hear ok things about Dashlane but don’t know a ton

@samharrison7 wow, yet another impressive ChatGPT example! I'm really going to have to give it a try. Wondering how it will stack up to thorny problems with lots of dependencies.

@antares I picked because it kept popping up in things I was listening to and reading about functional programming, and consensus was that it was more approachable than some other languages. Also, I wanted to get into a bit of web development because that is something I haven't done before. I'm sure there are better options out there. What would you recommend as a more fully featured language?

I'm attempting in this year, which I will admit has been quite a challenge so far. is so weird!!! Hoping I start to see the light soon.

@scottmatter funny, I was just thinking about something similar today: the confusion around and the shows that a lot of people don't understand how email works.

Basically a short intro about the platform from someone that isn't deep in the #fediverse and just making sense of things.

Maybe it helps someone else from the #TwitterMigration?
