I have in fact read the #MIS (#medication #information sheet) for the #Pfizer #vaccine, since that's the one I've been getting, and I do the same for every prescribed #medication I take. People act like it's some kind of super-secret information, when really it's as easily accessible as a Mike #Waltz chat on #Signal.
#Tyrannosaurus #rex by Gerhard Boeggemann. I like how the emphasis isn't on the size of the tyrannosaurs: they and their prey are huge, but they're still a small part of a much larger #ecosystem. Also, this could practically be a scene right out of the WISP (Work In Some Progress) so that's a bonus. 🦖✍️
Some #Tories are starting to approach the beginning of a shred of self-awareness. Let's see if it lasts. I know which way I'm betting.
I don't have any predictions about when the messy collection of #algorithms we currently call "#AI" will be able to write good #research papers. Could be tomorrow, could be next year, could be a decade, could be never.
But I do know what it will take for me to take the idea seriously: show me an AI that can write a good #literature #review. No hallucinatory references, no "on one hand X, but on the other hand not-X," no repetitive sentence and paragraph structures that make me want to scrub my eyesockets with bleach and a wire brush. It doesn't even have to be publication quality. Just something that would get a decent grade as a term paper in an upper division undergraduate course.
This is the kind of application where AI should be really useful, and right now it's crap. So I'm not holding my breath.
From the latest #CPAC: #Republicans portraying their leader as the guy who's best known for destroying a #republic. Points for accidental honesty, I guess.
