When you boost anything (such as ), how do you add content warning to a boost that didn’t have a CW to start with? ? And another question is “How come suggested hashtags aren’t in CamelCase?”

@mguhlin
You can't add a CW to a boost. Boosting just "forwards" or reposts the original post on your own timeline.

If you really want to re-share a post, but add your own CW/message, then you can copy the URL of the post (click the more button of the post to find this option) and then paste the URL into a new post. The link itself will only count a maximum of 20 chars despite its actual length.

@mguhlin
Absolutely. Most of us are still new to the Fediverse, so happy to share any knowledge I have already gained when possible.

@mguhlin just keep in mind that doing this "disconnects" your posting from the original. Meaning the original poster will not be notified that their post was shared and any comments directly to your posting will be part of a separate thread.

When boosting a post, everything remains intact and the original poster and audience can remain a part of the conversation as the post is shared across the fediverse.

@mguhlin oh, and as far as the second question, I would like to know myself. I have noticed this behavior with the web version as well as Tusky and Fedilab.

Since it is preferred to use #CamelCase for #hashtags for screen reader/accessibility purposes, you would think that the hashtag suggestions would be provided in that format.

The case does not matter, however in a technical sense. Whether you use all upper case, all lower case, camel case, etc. the hashtags are all the same.

@mguhlin
Looks like there might be a fix for this coming in the next version. I see a Github issue regarding this which was closed as fixed just 3 days ago. So hopefully we'll see this soon!
